Kommunikation: vom Anfang bis Ende schlecht. Schon bei der Buchung sp?te oder keine Antwort. Praktisch keine Information nach Ankunft. Der Gipfel: Rückflug ab Male um 20.45. Wir wurden am letzten Abend informiert, dass Checkout um 9.15 und Abflug mit dem Wasserflieger um 10.00 ist. Wartezeit am Flughafen Male ca. 10 Stunden. Wir haben bewusst die teuere Variante des Transfers von Male gew?hlt, um genau Dieses zu vermeiden. Nach einer heftigen Reklamation an der Rezeption wurde Nazeem, der Front desk Chef zugezogen, und hat die Situation teilweise gerettet, den Flug auf 14.45 organisiert. Warum hat das Team sofort auf die inakzeptable Abflugzeit nicht reagiert, bleibt sein Geheimnis. Die Resorts reden sich damit heraus, dass die Flüge durch das Transportunternehmen TMA organisiert werden. Zimmer: De Luxe Beachvilla ist ok, zweckm?ssig eingerichtet, eine leise Klimaanlage (in den kleineren Beach Villen ist sie gleich über dem Bett platziert, was unangenehm ist), bequemes Bett, sch?ne Bettw?sche und Handtücher. Das Nachtlicht mit Bewegungssensor prima, vor allem im Badzimmer. Eine Strandtasche, Strandhut und Flipflops sind ein sch?nes Touch. Gute Kosmetikprodukte. Halboffenes Badezimmer mit einem Waschbecken. Die H?uschen sind sehr dicht aneinander gebaut, eine Privatsph?re gibt es nicht. Zur Zeit unseres Aufenthaltes waren nur ca. 30% belegt. Trotzdem wurde eine chinesische Gruppe gleich nebenan platziert. Mit der Ruhe war es vorbei. Das WLAN war für die Urlaubszwecke absolut genügend, im ganzen Resort. Die Zimmer werden 2x am Tag gut gereinigt. Als die G?steanzahl zunahm, erst nachmittags. Verpflegung: AI gew?hlt, Frühstück, Lunch und Abendessen in Buffetform. Es sollten alle Drinks dabei sein. Auf Nachfrage bei der Rezeption wurde uns eine Liste mit AI-Getr?nken ausgeh?ndigt. Der Kaffee war nicht dabei, dafür h?tte man literweise Vodka trinken k?nnen. Eine Diskussion mit dem Manager brachte keine Kl?rung. Der Mann ist zwar sehr sympatisch, ich habe dann den Kaffee immer bekommen, aber die Regelung finde ich pers?nlich unhaltbar. Man wusste nie, was wirklich dabei ist. Dass man Eis zum Dessert bestellen kann, per Zufall erfahren. Das selbe mit frisch gepressten S?ften. Das Essen war nicht schlecht, leider sehr oft kalt. Das Salatbuffet perfekt, frische Grünsalate, Tomaten und vieles mehr. Zum Frühstück lagen zwei Sorten Wurst und K?se auf offenen Platten bereit. Den Fliegen hat es geschmeckt. Absolut spitzenm?ssig war die Pattiserie. Torten, Kuchen, Cremes, alles unschlagbar gut und wundersch?n dekoriert. Eine tiefe Verbeugung vor dem Chef. Service: abgesehen von der Reception alle sehr freundlich und nett. Shahid, Rajesh, Bharati, Reefa und Suraj haben sich wunderbar um uns gekümmert. Der zauberhaft geschmückte Tisch am letzten Abend hat uns sehr gerührt. Lage: die Insel ist wundersch?n. Im Inneren sehr schattig und grün, gepflegt. Das Allerbeste aber ist der lange Strand. The resort is located on a truly beautiful island, where you can snorkel and encounter turtles, dolphins, and so many colorful fish. But while the nature is breathtaking, what truly makes this place special is the people. From the very first moment, Valentin makes you feel welcome with his warmth. Alla is always smiling and brightens every day. Dilu’s healing massages are unforgettable, and Smiti never fails to remember exactly how you like your coffee. Reefa’s positivity and kindness are contagious, while Majid always makes sure you are well fed and taken care of. Diana at the reception never forgets to ask how your day has been, which makes every interaction feel personal and sincere. And last, but definitely not least, my favorite: Sandeep. He’s the one who told us that you can spot dolphins in the morning from the bar, who always had a fresh, cold coconut ready, and who was constantly there to make our stay even better. A big thank you to the entire team for turning our stay into such a wonderful and memorable experience. We will carry these memories with us for a long time.

My wife and I have just returned from 10 days at the re-opened Reethi resort following its acquisition and renovation by Minor Hotels last year. For me, the four pillars of a R&R holiday are resort, accommodation, food and beverage, and staff. Reethi smashed each of them. Taking each in turn: The resort is fabulous. The island is 600m x 200m so big enough, but you can walk barefoot from top to bottom in 10 minutes. The vegetation is lush and well maintained, the beach is beautiful, there is lots of wildlife and the house reef is vibrant, with a bustling population of colourful fish, sharks, eagle rays, dolphins, turtles and we heard that an octopus is resident too (though we didn’t see that). We chatted to divers who said that there was little point to diving as you could see 99% by snorkelling. Accommodation. We took a “standard” beach villa. The accommodation has been fully renovated. The rooms were stylish and well appointed and the bed large and comfortable. The bathroom was large, well-equipped and semi outdoor. The larger beach villas had a separate living area and some had a plunge pool, but for us, the villa is for sleeping etc so these features were superfluous. Food and beverages. I’ve read a couple of reviews on here complaining about the variety and quality of the catering; only the deluded would expect Michelin quality à la carte cuisine in a resort buffet restaurant so if that’s your vibe you need to be writing out a bigger cheque. And if you’re looking for a “Sandals” type experience with 20 odd food stations then you might be disappointed. But each mealtime there was a selection of local/asian and international dishes, vegetarian dishes and salads, fruit and desserts and the quality was very good. We visited two “à la carte” restaurants. Kaiyo is a pretty “over the water” venue offering an Asian fusion menu (heavily Thai influenced, in my opinion) and Alifaan is a grill restaurant. The latter venue wasn’t particularly inspiring but the food was good. I understand that there is a third à la carte restaurant but it wasn’t open during our visit (I don’t know why). We were all inclusive and the selection of beverages at the main, sunset and rum bar was great - except the standard all inclusive beer is Carlsberg which must be a mistake - please remove it ASAP! But if you ask nicely then other beers may be available ;-) Staff. The resort had only been open for 2 weeks when we arrived. The staff were a mixture of pre and post acquisition. There was clearly a little bit of “finding their feet” but without exception, they were very friendly and helpful. There were a few standouts worth a shout: Majid, Reefa and Rajesh on the waiting team struck the perfect balance between attentive and unintrusive. In the main bar, Nikhil isn’t just a barman but a well-qualified and experienced wine and spirit professional (ask for one of his own recipe cocktails - the Cafe Noir and his as yet unnamed XO rum cocktail - we just called it a “Nikhil”).

This is nice place to visit. We stayed 10 nights in villa. Water is clean. The meal in two restaurants Reef and Surf is tasty and fresh. Special thanks to receptionist Mercyline. She assisted us with necessary information, provided nice service with smile. The guy with name Suaid helped us with our luggage. He is very quick with full energy to work. Thanks to all friendly staff at this hotel. We hope to come back again.

This is our fourth time here this year, the resort is newly renovated but has lost none of its charm. All the staff are really very nice and helpful, special thanks to Vikram who looked after our water villa, he couldn't have been more helpful and fulfilled all our wishes. The reef is beautiful, corals, thousands of fish, sharks, turtles..., the food is delicious and the newly renovated villas are very nice and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

The resort is absolutely stunning, truly heaven-like. The surroundings are breathtaking, the snorkeling is amazing, and the whole experience feels like paradise from the moment you arrive. I wish I could stay longer! The food is absolutely gorgeous, I cannot fault anything. All the staff are fabulous and incredibly welcoming, but I would especially like to highlight three team members who truly stood out during our stay: Bharati is a true professional — ultra-efficient, highly knowledgeable, and exceptional at customer service. When she was around, everything ran seamlessly and without delay. Meghna always greeted us with a beautiful smile and a genuinely kind manner. She is quick-thinking and consistently helpful, handling everything with ease and warmth. Majid went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable at all times. His soft, calm, and thoughtful approach made a real difference and never went unnoticed. All three are a real credit to the resort and played a big part in making our stay so special.
